This is number nine in a series where I reflect on the music I listened to in December. Today, I talk about something by Sorry.
I’ve never really been attracted to artists who release songs like a leaky faucet. I understand the importance of singles and music videos, but I prefer to be given the whole package. Spotify, which I’ve been using a bit more often this year along with an early trial of Deezer, has sort of changed that a little. Its playlists cut up albums into singles, regardless of whether it was officially one. This is how I came across Sorry, a band without an image or bio, and six songs at time of writing. I like the space of the production, the subtle vocal layers, and the guitars that poke away, threatening to descend into chaos but never do.
